Harry Kane Spurs injury update after Manchester United

Harry Kane after Man United

One of the narratives doing the rounds after Man United beat Tottenham in the FA Cup semifinal has centred on Harry Kane’s fitness.

Kane recently suffered a nasty injury at Bournemouth. Yet, while many feared the striker could be a long term absentee, Kane was back on the pitch inside a month.

Kane returned against Chelsea for a 15 minute cameo, while he’s since started Tottenham’s last four games.

In that period the England international has scored two more goals.

Against Man United Kane was rather subdued, leading some to wonder if he’s still carry a knock. Kane has refuted those claims, telling the Mirror:

That’s people’s opinion. People are always going to look for something to say when maybe you’re not firing at your best.

But it feels fine. No problems. I feel good, feel sharp. Still got four games to go. Looking forward to those four games then a big summer ahead.

At the end of the day, I’ve still scored two in my last four, it’s not the worst in the world. But when you set standards, people are going to look for things when you’re not at them.

Of course one has to serious question suggestions that Mauricio Pochettino would play Kane if he’s not fully fit for selection.
