Former Kentucky defensive tackle Matt Elam is joining the Baltimore Ravens for rookie mini-camp this weekend.

Elam joined the Wildcats out of Elizabethtown’s John Hardin High School. He was rated a 98 by 247Sports. He was considered the nation’s No. 3 defensive tackle and the No. 21 player overall. Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Mississippi State and Tennessee had also offered.

His promise was never realized in Lexington, however. The Kentucky native had 11 tackles in 2014. The following year, he recorded 23 tackles. In 2016, he had just nine tackles. Finally, this past season, the senior recorded eight tackles.

Ironically, the Ravens took Florida safety Matt Elam No. 32 overall in the 2013 NFL Draft. He played four seasons with the team and has been out of the league ever since.

Former Kentucky offensive tackle Kyle Meadows has signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent.

Meadows was rated a .8630 by the 247Sports and was considered the nation’s No. 45 offensive tackle. Louisville, West Virginia, Florida State, Oklahoma and Pittsburgh were some of the other schools that had offered. The Ohio native was primarily played at right tackle. The Packers also begin rookie minicamp this weekend.

Former Kentucky defensive back Kendall Randolph is joining the Philadelphia Eagles for rookie minicamp, which takes place next weekend. He recorded 29 tackles and an interception last season. Randolph primarily served in a nickel role.

Randolph was rated an 88 by 247Sports and was considered the nation’s No. 43 cornerback. Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, Randolph held additional offers from Georgia, Florida State, Alabama, Oklahoma and Stanford.
