Mourinho and Woodward fighting over Gareth Bale

Clashing

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is on a collision course with Ed Woodward, with the chief executive keen on bringing Gareth Bale to United.

Bale’s future at Real Madrid is up in the air, with the player claiming he might leave following the Champions League final – however Mourinho is keen to bring in players he thinks United really need – and sees Bale as more of a luxury option.

Pilib De Brun has claimed that Mourinho isn’t happy with this – but Woodward isn’t taking no for an answer.

“Woodward has been all-in for Gareth Bale,” he said on Periscope.

“Mourinho does not believe that deal will happen. But Woodward has definitely been pursuing that aggressively.

“Mourinho, it seems, it on a collision course with Woodward again.”

No more players

Mourinho admitted today he didn’t know if any more players are set to come into the club this summer, despite many people expecting a huge summer of spending for United – and it seems that he could be stuck with what he has.

The United boss has already admitted Alexis Sanchez might miss the pre-season tour of the USA due to visa issues, and called that very, very bad – understandably considering Alexis needs time to get used to United and build on his performances from last season.

United need to improve on last term, both in the league and in the Champions League, with their drab exit at the hands of Sevilla something the fans don’t want to see repeated again.
