Titans reportedly place linebacker Kevin Dodd on did not report list | NFL

The Titans have placed linebacker Kevin Dodd on the did not report list to open training camp, according to a report from NFL Network.

The move was unexpected, the report says.

Dodd, 26, was one of just five players to skip the Titans voluntary workouts in June, according to The Tennessean. He appeared in nine games for Tennessee last season.

Dodd was selected by the Titans out of Clemson in the second round of the 2016 draft. But, he has played in just 18 career games and recorded one sack in two NFL seasons.

The Titans finished last season with a 9-7 record and made the playoffs for the first time since 2008. They topped the Chiefs in the wild-card round before falling to the Patriots.

Tennessee fired former coach Mike Mularkey in mid-January and hired Mike Vrabel to replace him.
