Watertown Daily Times | College tennis: St. Lawrence men’s coach Caniga to lead women’s team, too

CANTON — St. Lawrence University men’s tennis coach Neil Caniga will also coach the women’s tennis program, the school has announced.

Caniga, the men’s coach since 2013, was the interim women’s coach last spring after the departure of coach Greg Kreitzer in the fall. Caniga will lead both teams, Saints athletic director Bob Durocher said.

The Saints women’s team won eight of their final 11 matches to finish third in the Liberty League standings last season, advancing to the semifinals of the league championship tournament.

Tennis joins golf, Nordic skiing, alpine skiing, swimming and diving and squash as featuring one coach for both men’s and women’s squads.

The “fork” ratings are based primarily on food quality and preparation, with service and atmosphere factored into the final decision. Reviews are based on one unsolicited, unannounced visit to the restaurant.
