Moussa Wague set for Barcelona medical


Senegal defender Moussa Wague is expected to undergo medical and sign for Barcelona in the next few hours, according to Sports.

The 19-year-old defender was a member of the Teranga Lions’ squad at the 2018 Fifa World Cup and even scored a goal before his country’s elimination in the group stage.

The youngster who plays the right-back position will be joining the La Liga champions from Belgian top-flgiht side KAS Eupen.


Napoli target Serge Aurier


Napoli are eyeing Tottenham defender Serge Aurier as an alternative if they fail to sign Mattero Darmian this summer, the D aily Mail reports.

The Ivorian right-back struggled for game time in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad last season as competition with Kieran Trippier reduced him to 17 matches in his debut English Premier League.

Napoli have tabled a revised bid for £18million-rated Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian and if should the deal fall through, the Italian side will turn their focus to Aurier.


Adarabioyo set for West Brom loan


Manchester City youngster Tosin Adarabioyo is set to join West Brom on a season-long loan, Goal understands.

The 20-year-old centre-back made four appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side last season and is set to spend the coming campaign at the Hawthorns.

Crystal Palace sign Kouyate


Crystal Palace have signed Senegal international Cheikhou Kouyate from West Ham in a deal reportedly worth £9.5m.

The 28-year-old penned a four-year contract at the Selhurst Park after ending his four-stay with the Hammers.

Senegal forward Moussa Sow has announced his retirement from international football to focus on his club career with UAE side Shabab Dubai.

The 32-year-old who was part of the Teranga Lions’ squad to the 2018 World Cup scored 19 goals in 50 international appearances for the west African nation.

Liverpool consider Ojo sale


Liverpool will consider selling Sheyi Ojo before the transfer window closes, despite Jurgen Klopp’s assertion the club only wanted to send him on loan.

West Brom are leading the race to sign the 21-year-old but the Reds are demanding £15 million ($20m) including add-ons which may be a stumbling block for the Baggies. Stoke City, Birmingham, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough are also keen on adding the Anglo-Nigerian to their ranks.

The Egyptian Football Association have confirmed the appointment of former Mexico and Japan manager Javier Aguirre as their new national team handler.

Aguirre succeeds Hector Cuper who resigned after the Pharaohs’ disappointing elimination from the 2018 World Cup in June.

Crystal Palace close in on Kouyate & Ayew


Cheikhou Kouyate and Jordan Ayew have been scheduled for medicals to complete their moves to Crystal Palace, the Guardian reports.

The Eagles have agreed a deal worth £9.5m plus £1.5m add-ons that will see the Senegal captain join Roy Hodgson’s side in the coming days.

Ayew is also expected to move to Selhurst Park in a swap deal that involves Jairo Riedewald heading to the Liberty Stadium.


Jordan Ayew to leave Swansea City


Jordan Ayew is expected to leave Swansea City before the end of the domestic transfer window on August 9, according to BBC Sport .

The Swans will be playing the Championship next season and the 26-year-old looks set to follow in the steps of his brother, Andre who joined Fenerbahce last week , in search for top-flight football.

Jordan was Swansea’s top scorer last campaign with 11 goals in 44 appearances.


RB Leipzig close in on Lookman 


RB Leipzig are nearing a permanent move for Everton winger Ademola Lookman, Sportbuzzer reports.

The German Bundesliga side reportedly tabled an improved deal worth €18 million after the Toffees rejected their initial bids.

The 20-year-old spent the second part of the 2017-18 season on loan at the Red Bull Arena where he five goals in 11 league matches.


Everton in talks with Stoke over Ndiaye


Everton have started discussions with Stoke City over the signing of Badou Ndiaye this summer, the Sun claims.

The Toffees face competition from Wolverhampton and Galatasaray who have shown interest in signing the Senegal international following the Potters’ relegation to the second tier of the English league.

Ndiaye might link up with compatriot Idrissa Gueye at the Goodison Park should Marco Silva secure his services.


Tottenham set to beat Chelsea in race for Zaha


Tottenham Hotspur are plotting £45 million move to make Wilfried Zaha their first summer signing, according to the Sun .

The Eagles have reportedly turned down Chelsea’s offer of £30m cash plus Danny Drinkwater but Spurs are ready to table a further £15m in add-ons plus a massive sell-on clause.

Despite the speculations surrounding Zaha’s future at Selhurst Park,  Roy Hodgson is confident of holding on to the Ivorian forward who is valued at £70 million.


Thierry Henry in talks over Egypt job


Thierry Henry has been offered the Egypt national team head coaching position, according to player agent Nader El-Sayed.

The Arsenal legend who was an assistant to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez at the World Cup in Russia could now be set to take his first senior managerial job should he accept Egypt’s offer.

Torino have turned down Nice loan offer for Mbaye Niang, according to Gianluca Di Marzio .

The Bulls are not willing to release the Senegal international who scored five goals in 23 league games during the 2017-18 campaign.

Niang was one of the standout performers in Aliou Cisse’s squad at the 2018 World Cup with a goal and an assist in three games.


Sevilla hold talks for Porto’s Aboubakar


Sevilla have held positive talks with Porto as they look to complete a €20 million (£17.8m/$23.4m) deal for striker Vincent Aboubakar, Goal understands.

The Rojiblancos have turned to the Cameroon international after missing out on a deal for Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi this summer.

Negotiations have been ongoing since Friday, but with the transfer window not closing in Spain until August 31 the teams have a month to conclude the deal should they require it.

Mane to sign new Liverpool deal 


Liverpool are confident of tying Sadio Mane down to a long term contract in the coming weeks, the Mirror reports.

The Reds are poised to reward the Senegal forward with an improved deal following his impressive displays in the past two seasons. 

Mane is currently under contract until 2021 and he is expected to join Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino who have both committed their futures to Liverpool until 2023 this summer.


Middlesbrough want Sheyi Ojo on loan


Middlesbrough are weighing up a season-long loan deal for Liverpool’s Sheyi Ojo, Daily Mail claims.

Ojo who is currently on pre-season tour with Liverpool, spent last campaign on loan at Fulham and helped them win promotion to the English Premier League.

Several Championship clubs including Nottingham Forest, West Brom and Stoke City are reportedly eyeing the Reds’ youngster.

Fanendo Adi joins FC Cincinnati


FC Cincinnati have announced the acquisition of Fanendo Adi from the Portland Timbers in exchange for $450,000 in general allocation money and $400,000 in targeted allocation money.

The 27-year-old will play in the second-tier United Soccer League before the club makes the jump to Major League Soccer in 2019.
