Real Madrid promote Sergio Reguilon
One player who has attracted attention in recent days at Real Madrid is Sergio Reguilon.
Reguilon was a second half sub for Los Blancos in the Man United match.
It got better against Juventus, as Reguilon was one of just two Real Madrid players to play the 90 minutes against the Bianconeri.
So who is Reguilon?
He’s a 21-year-old Spanish defender, who has been drafted into the Los Blancos team at left-back.
Reguilon has grown up in the Real Madrid academy, where he has played for all the youth groups. Reguilon has also been deployed as a left-winger in these teams.
Reguilon has also been loaned out to UD Logrones previously. In one match during his loan spell, Reguilon scored four goals in a 5-3 win over Athletic Bilbao B.

According to Spanish paper El Confidential, Julen Lopetegui believes Reguilon is the second best left-back at the club after Marcelo. Put another way, Reguilon is above Theo Hernandez in the Madrid pecking order.
Reguilon has been linked with a possible loan move to Real Sociedad this summer, although Sociedad are baulking at paying the defender’s wages.
