Millburn girls tennis win streak reaches 126 straight

Millburn girls tennis began its quest for an unbelievable sixth straight undefeated season with consecutive 5-0 victories over Columbia and Montclair Kimberley this week. The Millers start the season 2-0 and extend its winning streak with 126 consecutive wins.

Sophomore Paulina Feoli took over first singles with wins in both matchups. Senior Joanna Atwater, one half of the state doubles champions from last year, has transitioned successfully into second singles. Senior Hallie Katzman has provided strong third singles

The Millers have two new combinations in the doubles flights, both . The team of senior Ranya Katzman and sophomore Anna Bansal have two victories in first doubles. The team of senior Ishika Gupta and junior Caitlin Vinsonhaler second doubles.

Millers defeat MKA in volleyball opener

Junior Stephanie Bai had five kills, two blocks and seven service points as Millburn won its season opener, 25-22 and 25-20, at Montclair Kimberley on Thursday.

Junior Amanda Huang had 16 assists and four digs in the victory. Junior Taylor Liu led the Millers with nine digs. Senior Lais Santos led Millburn with 14 service points, including four aces.

The victory was the first one under new head coach Bill Rentiers.

Millburn boys soccer beats Livingston

Junior Alex Migoya scored two goals in his first multi-goal game of his varsity career as the Millers defeated Livingston, 3-2, on Thursday afternoon.

Senior Ano Chinogwenya scored his first career varsity goal in the victory as Millburn led, 2-0, at the half. Sophomore goalie Zach Barr saved three shots for Millburn (1-0)
