Chelsea 2 – Manchester United 2
The Premier League returned with a real bang on Saturday lunchtime at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea rescued a point in the 96th minute against Manchester United in a breathless match.
Antonio Rudiger had given Chelsea the lead on 21 minutes.
Anthony Martial turned the game on its head with two goals on 55 and 73 to give Manchester United a platform to go on and win the game.
Then came a 96th minute equaliser from Ross Barkley after a terrific back post header from David Luiz.
Chelsea coach Marco Ianni makes a name for himself!
In the celebrations that followed from the Chelsea bench, we all got to know Marco Ianni, part of Maurizio Sarri’s coaching staff.
Ianni celebrated right in front of Jose Mourinho and after the game was forced to apologise to The Special One.
After the game, both Mourinho and Maurizio Sarri discussed the incident in their press conferences.
Sarri took it on the chin and admitted his man had done the wrong thing. Chelsea’s latest Italian boss admitted he took Ianni to Mourinho to apologise.
