Fabinho signed for Liverpool earlier this summer from French outfit AS Monaco for a fee in the region of £43m.
Yet, despite the hefty price tag, the Brazilians game time has been limited.
‘I have learned a few things from him, but it is just the start’
However, despite the lack of game time, Fabinho believes he is adjusting well to life at Liverpool.
Fabinho stated:
“My process to adapt to English football has been very good.
“Since pre-season I believe I have understood the way Jurgen Klopp plays and the way the team plays.
“It’s a new experience for me because Klopp has a different style of work from the way I’m used to, but this is something I will learn.
“I have learned a few things from him, but it is just the start. He is a coach who demands a lot from his players, not just in matches but also on a daily basis in training.
“My relationship with my team-mates has also been very good. Especially with the Brazilians like Roberto Firmino, who has been helping me, and also Alisson.
“I’m playing a little bit more and that is important to me because it is important to adapt on the pitch by playing matches.”
Fabinho’s tough start
While Fabinho did cost Liverpool a fair chunk of change, he has yet to make a Premier League appearance for them.
Fabinho has been on the bench in five of Liverpool’s eight league games but has not been brought on.
The Brazilian would make his Liverpool debut in the Champions League vs PSG.
However, that debut lasted just one minute.
Fabinho was also brought on as a late sub vs Chelsea in the League Cup and against Napoli in the UCL.
But Fabinho may finally be starting a game for Liverpool very soon.
This is because James Milner, who has been a key member of Liverpool’s midfield three this season, suffered an injury vs Manchester City.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp may be forced to start Fabinho soon, even if he does not believe he is ready.
