Fans react to Paul Pogba’s poor defending vs Chelsea

Chelsea vs Manchester United

Chelsea headed into today’s game joint top of the league along with Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Blues are undefeated in the league this season, winning six and drawing two.

They are also the only Premier League side to be undefeated in all competitions this season after picking up a League Cup win vs Liverpool and two Europa League wins.

Manchester United, on the other hand, are having a horrible start to the season.

They headed into this game 8th in the table.

United had already lost three league games this season and had also let in 14 goals in eight league games, the worst record in the top 15 Premier League sides.

Paul Pogba’s mistake

Things did not get much better for Man United in the first half of today’s game either.

The game started off pretty slowly.

Chelsea had more of the ball with United expectedly sitting a bit deeper.

However, United did have a decent chance as Luke Shaw crossed to Romelu Lukaku who should have done better with his header.

Unfortunately for United, Chelsea would take the lead in the 21st minute thanks to some help from the ever-controversial, Paul Pogba.

Willian would whip in a Chelsea corner, Antonio Rudiger would make his way into the box and find himself pretty much unmarked. Which allowed him to head home and give Chelsea a 1-0 lead.

Rudiger was clearly supposed to be marked by Pogba who was visibly frustrated at his own mistake after the goal went in.

This will have no doubt further strained the Pogba-Mourinho relationship.

Pogba’s mistake has also clearly upset some fans on Twitter.
