Tottenham defender Kyle Walker-Peters ready to replace Danny Rose

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker-Peters claims he is ready to replace the injured Danny Rose.

Rose has been suffering from a groin injury and was forced to withdraw from the England squad this week.

Walker-Peters: “I’m ready to do a good job”

The 21-year-old is yet to make an appearance this season for Spurs despite his breakout campaign last term.

Serge Aurier and Kieran Trippier have both been blocking the youngster’s pathway in the first-team.

Despite his limited minutes at Spurs, Walker-Peters remains a regular feature for England Under-21s.

Now, with Danny Rose injured, Walker-Peters claims he is ready to step up and take his chance.

Walker-Peters said:

“Hopefully it’s not too bad for Dan.

“If the manager at Tottenham needs me to play on the left then I’m ready to do a good job.

“The gaffer knows what he’s doing. I have faith in what he has planned for me and when he gives me my opportunities I have to continue to take them.

“He spoke to me at the beginning of the season which is good.

“He makes it quite clear that if you want to go and have a word with him, feel free to and question him.”
