Positivity key for B-grade cricket team

CRICKET: Kingaroy Services are all about maintaining a positive attitude in the middle and around their club despite the result of the game.

While the team went down to the Nanango Scorpions on Saturday, Services captain Justin Labinsky said the team should be proud of how they played.

“We want to be keeping a positive attitude regardless of the score, try and bat our 40 overs and get wickets,” he said.

Fletcher Brown was the top run scorer, with 39 runs for Services after the team won the toss and elected to bat.

Ben Greenslade claimed three wickets for 30 runs for Services to be all out for 163 runs.

Greenslade went on to make 74 runs and Stephen Kirkland scored 71 not out to secure the win.

Michael Marriott scored 188 runs not out for the Blackbutt Timbertowners in their game against the Warriors at Lyle Vidler Oval.

The visitors scored the win, with the Warriors unable to make the required 318 runs.

The Warriors batted through the 40 overs, finishing with seven for 234 runs.

The Murgon Diggers scored a win over the Wondai Wolves.

Jono Kapernick scored 106 runs for the Diggers to finish with 304 runs and the Wolves were all out for 134.

Kumbia scored a 51-run win over Cherbourg.

Cherbourg won the toss and elected to bowl, dismissing Kumbia for 195 run.

Kumbia defended their total, dismissing Cherbourg for 124 runs after 29.5 overs.
