England 2 – Croatia 1
England are going to Portugal.
Gareth Southgate’s side claimed a fabulous 2-1 win over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League at Wembley on Sunday.
The Three Lions won the hard way after going behind to an Andrej Kramaric goal early in the second half.
England turned the match with two goals in the final twelve minutes.
Man United’s Jesse Lingard levelled, before Tottenham’s Harry Kane scored the winner.
How John Stones celebrated Harry Kane’s goal
Many people on social media are enjoying how Man City defender John Stones reacted after Harry Kane’s winner for England.
Kane, England’s captain, scored with a goal poacher’s finish as he slid home in the final stages of the match.
Immediately after the ball went into the back of the Croatian net, Stones collided with goalie Lovre Kalinic.
The Man City centre-half crashed into Kalinic. Indeed, it appeared that Stones intentionally cracked his knee into the Croat keeper.
Could Stones have reacted differently? Could the Man City international have missed bashing into Kalinic?
