Around 1003 players had initially registered for the auction, but the final list was trimmed to 346 after the submission by the eight franchisees. There were also five last-minute entries which took the total to 351.
England’s Eoin Morgan, South Africa’s Rassie Van der Dussen along with Australian Riley Meredith and two uncapped Indians Mayank Dagar and Pranav Gupta have been added to the list.
The intense battle among the eight franchisees is expected to start at 2.30 PM (IST) in Jaipur.
The auction will see 119 capped, 229 uncapped and two associate nation players being auctioned.
The highest base price for the auction is Rs 2 Crore and only nine players are in the top bracket in the initial list and one more added at the eleventh hour in the form of Morgan. There is no Indian in the marquee list.
Brendon McCullum (New Zealand), Chris Woakes (England), Lasith Malinga (Sri Lanka), Shaun Marsh (Australia), Sam Curran (England), Colin Ingram (New Zealand), Corey Anderson (New Zealand), Angelo Mathews (Sri Lanka), D’Arcy Short (Australia) and Eoin Morgan (England) have opted to be slotted in the top bracket of Rs 2 Crore.
Last season’s most expensive Indian buy, fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals for a whopping Rs. 11.5 Crore, will go under the hammer with a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore after being released by Rajasthan Royals. Out of 10 cricketers in the 1.5 Crore bracket, Unadkat, who played 15 IPL matches last season and claimed 11 wickets at an economy of 9.65, is the only Indian.
Former Kings XI Punjab all-rounder and 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh, Axar Patel, Wriddhiman Saha, and Mohammed Shami are the four Indian players who have set their base price at Rs. 1 crore.

Naman Ojha and speedster Ishant Sharma have opted to be slotted in the Rs. 75 Lakh base price bracket. A total of 18 players (2 Indians and 16 overseas) will be up for grabs in this base price bracket.
The Rs 50 lakh bracket will see 18 Indian and 44 overseas players (total 62) in the auction.
India’s Test specialist Cheteshwar Pujara, who was unsold in the last IPL auction, has set his base price at Rs 50 lakh.
The uncapped players will enter the auction in three different base price brackets – 20 lakh, 30 lakh and 40 lakh.
A total of 198 Indian players (and 17 overseas) will go under the hammer with base prices of Rs 20 lakh.
