Robin Haase joins Zverev, Cilic, Tsitsipas and Wawrinka in Rotterdam

The 46th edition of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam will take place between February 11-17 and the organizers have already signed almost third of the draw that promises to be one of the strongest among ATP 500 events in 2019! Alexander Zverev, Marin Cilic, Kei Nishikori, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Grigor Dimitrov, Hyeon Chung, Nick Kyrgios, David Goffin and Stan Wawrinka forge an impressive line-up that will deliver the high-quality matches right from the very first round.

Together with some of the finest players in the world, the home favorite Robin Haase will compete in Rotterdam for the 11th time, making his debut in 2007 at the age of 19 and reaching two quarter-finals. Between 2010-16, Haase was beaten in the first round of the home ATP event but he had a great chance to score one of his biggest wins ever this February when he won the opening set against Roger Federer before losing 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 and missing the opportunity for a great upset.

World number 50 has won 24 matches in 2018 from 28 tournaments he entered, reaching the semi-final in Auckland and Umag and also the last eight at Rogers Cup in Toronto.

Richard Krajicek: “Robin has been our best Dutch player on the ATP Tour for years.

He achieved good results in Rotterdam. He once won from Murray and made it difficult for Federer in the quarter-final in February, where he could become number one.”

Robin Haase: “It is always very cool to be at the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament.

Because of the atmosphere, people in the Netherlands encourage you more than in other countries.”
