UGA recruit hits golf balls into Sanford Stadium during visit

Who wants to play Augusta National when you can hit golf balls into Sanford Stadium?

Kaiir Elam, a 4-star defensive back from North Palm Beach, Fla., tweeted a video during his official visit to UGA this weekend of him hitting golf balls into UGA’s football stadium.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all in the wacky world of recruiting, somebody comes up with something new and innovative. Maybe other UGA targets have done this before, but I can’t recall seeing video of it.

Back to Elam: He’s reportedly deciding between UGA and Florida before next month’s signing day, and you can follow DawgNation’s Jeff Sentell for more detailed coverage on Elam and other Bulldog targets.

Florida appeared to be the frontrunner for Elam, but UGA gained momentum this weekend when they hired Florida’s defensive backs coach, Charles Warren, while Elam was in Athens, Ga., on his recruiting trip. You can read more about Warren in this report by DawgNation’s Mike Griffith.

What are you thoughts on Sanford Stadium being turned into a “Topgolf” for recruits? How much would you pay to hit a few from the upper deck?
