Cleveland Cavaliers’ watch and learn NBA All-Star party: Crowquill

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2019 NBA All-Star Game takes place in Charlotte this evening and for the first time in awhile there won’t be any Cleveland Cavaliers participating.

It’s not much of a surprise that the Cavaliers are not represented in the All-Star game since they’ve been in contention for the worst record in the league at 12-46 and their only player, Kevin Love, that had been an All-Star missed 50 games this year.

The Cavs do have two former players, you may have heard of, who made the All-Star team — LeBron James and Kyrie Irving, although Irving may not play because of injury.

The Cavs did manage to get wing Cedi Osman onto The Rising Stars World Team and point guard Collin Sexton just missed making The Rising Stars U.S. team.

So next year there is a chance that the Cavs will be represented in the All-Star game by at least one player.

For now, the young Cavs will turn to their elder statesman to get some Love and guidance for winning games after the All-Star break.

Crowquill, by Plain Dealer artist Ted Crow, appears three times a week in The Plain Dealer and on cleveland.com.
