Local Pee Wee football team honored at City Council meeting

ROCHESTER, NY (WROC-TV) – The Rochester Rams pee wee football team are national champions and Tuesday night were honored at the Rochester City Council meeting.

The team competed in the pee wee division professional football hall of fame national championships in December. The 18 players received a well-deserved standing ovation as they were recognized for their hard work.

While they may be on top now, the head coach says this year didn’t start that way. “We had a lot of first-year kids. we had a girl who never played before. We had to start from the bottom. It was trying year. We really proud of the year, we started off from the bottom and worked our way to the top.” said Head Coach Terry McLamore.
