As per a report from La Reppublica, Liverpool have seen an opening bid for Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne knocked back.

27-year-old winger/second-striker Insigne has spent his entire career to date on the books of Napoli.
After coming up through the youth setup of the Partenopei, Insigne broke into the club’s first-team ranks on a consistent basis for the first time during the 2012/13 campaign, following a pair of prolific loan spells with Foggia and Pescara.
And the years since have seen the diminutive attacker, who was previously written off by many due to his stature, go on to establish himself as one of Napoli’s key performers.
Insigne’s deft touch, wand of a right foot and eye for goal make him a handful to deal with for opposing defenders, with the Italian international’s penchant for cutting inside from the left wing and seeking out the far top-corner having become one of the most recognizable sights in Serie A over the last couple of seasons.
The 2016/17 campaign proved Insigne’s most productive to date, with the Naples-native having racked up 18 goals and 9 assists in the league alone.
The current season, meanwhile, has seen the technically-gifted attacker directly contribute to 16 goals across all competitions.

Liverpool knocked back
And, as per the aforementioned report from Italian outlet La Reppublica, Insigne’s continued excellence at the Stadio San Paolo has today seen one of the Premier League’s giants lodge a big-money bid for the 27-year-old.
The club in question are Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool. Repubblica claim that the Merseysiders have seen a 70 million Euro bid for Insigne rejected by Napoli.
It is also suggested that Partenopei president Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped a 150 million Euro price-tag on the Italian.
As such, a departure from his boyhood club at any point in the near future looks highly unlikely for Insigne.
