NHL trade news: Senators, Devils hold out several players as deadline approaches | NHL

The matchup between the Senators and Devils is going to be a little light Thursday.

Both teams will hold out several key players in their game as the teams try to avoid injury before Monday’s trade deadline.

Ottawa is holding out Mark Stone, Matt Duchene and Ryan Dzingel.

New Jersey will not play Marcus Johansson and Ben Lovejoy.

Plenty of teams have interest in the Senators’ forwards. Representatives from Nashville, Tampa Bay, Montreal, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Columbus, Pittsburgh and Boston are all in attendance for Thursday’s game, according to NHL.com.
