Whelen to sponsor Musket 250 on Full Throttle Weekend at NHMS

LOUDON, NH (WWLP) – New Hampshire Motor Speedway officials announced on Monday Whelen Engineering will sponsor the Musket 250 on Saturday, September 21. The event will be apart of a triple header with the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and the second appearance in the United States by the NASCAR Pinty Series. 

It will be the biggest richest and longest mileage race for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. The race debuted last September that saw Chase Dowling score his first career NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour win. Patrick Emerling finished second and Burt Myers finished third. 

“We are thrilled to build on our already longstanding partnership with a company as innovative as Whelen,” said David McGrath, executive vice president and general manager of New Hampshire Motor Speedway in a news release . 

“Our Operations and Maintenance teams rely on Whelen products every day to ensure the safety of our staff, guests, drivers and fans, and what better way than to add their name to the most intense race on the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.”

“We are very excited to continue our relationship with New Hampshire Motor Speedway,” said Peter Tiezzi III, motorsports general manager at Whelen Engineering Company in a news release

“Full Throttle Fall Weekend will continue to deliver exciting racing for everyone in attendance.”

Other events that will happen at New Hampshire Motor Speedway throughout the year will be Motorcycle Week on June 8-16. The third annual New England Short Track Showdown on June 22 and 23 and the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event on Sunday, July 21.
