Whoops! NBA’s Trail Blazers get stuck in Emerson College elevator
This isn’t exactly the best way to welcome guests to Boston. The Portland Trail Blazers, in Boston for Wednesday night’s game against the Celtics, were stuck in an elevator for about 30 minutes at a practice facility at Emerson College, videos posted by the players show. The incident happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Scroll down to watch the video from some of the players.Trail Blazers players Enes Kanter and Meyers Leonard tweeted videos of about eight members of the team, including All-Star point guard Damian Lillard, passing the time while they waited for the broken elevator to get fixed.”We’re in survival mode,” one player shouted as they waited to get out of the elevator.”A video posted by Meyers Leonard shows the team being helped out of the elevator cab to cheers from bystanders at the Max Mutchnick Campus Center. “We finally got it,” Leonard wrote on Twitter. “Stairs!” the players said as they exited.Emerson College apologized to the team in a statement. “The college apologizes for the disruption and hopes the team takes it easy on the Boston Celtics tomorrow night,” the college wrote.
