Throughout March, 52 of the best high school hockey teams in the Greater Philadelphia Region have been competing in the 40th Annual Flyers Cup Scholastic Championships, presented by Toyota. Teams have been battling through preliminary rounds since March 4 in the hopes of making it to the championship final Sunday, March 17. For the first time in Flyers Cup history, all five Championship games will take place at the Wells Fargo Center.
Championship games in each division will take place inside the Wells Fargo Center at the following times:
Girls Final – 9:45 a.m. (#1 Unionville vs. #3 West Chester Rustin)
NJ/DE Final – 11:30 a.m. (#3 Eastern vs. #4 Delaware Military Academy)
A Final – 2:00 p.m. (#1 West Chester Rustin vs. #6 Hershey)
AA Final – 4:30 p.m. (#1 Downingtown East vs. #15 Downingtown West)
AAA Final – 7:00 p.m. (#1 La Salle vs. #6 St. Joseph’s Prep)
Participating teams come from six local high school leagues including the Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL), the Suburban High School Hockey League (SHSHL), the Atlantic Prep Athletic Conference (APAC), the South Jersey High School Ice Hockey League (SJHSIHL), the Central Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (CPIHL), and the Lehigh Valley Scholastic Hockey League (LVSHL).
Winners of the Flyers Cup A, AA, and AAA divisions will meet the winners of Western Pennsylvania’s Penguins Cup for the Pennsylvania State Championships on Saturday, March 23 at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh.
