NBA trade rumors: Knicks will explore dealing Frank Ntilikina on draft night | NBA

Frank Ntilikina’s time with the Knicks may come to an end after the season.

New York is planning to explore dealing the 20-year-old guard on draft night, according to a report from the New York Post, which cites an unidentified league source. The team would “consider” moving Ntilikina if it was offered a first-round pick for him, the report says.

Multiple teams, including the Timberwolves, Magic, Grizzlies, Nets and Suns, reportedly showed some level of interest in Ntilikina earlier this season.

Ntilikina has averaged 5.9 points and 2.8 assists in 21.3 minutes per game in 2018-19. He has hit just 29.1 percent of his 3-point attempts.

The guard has been dealing with a groin injury and has not played since Jan. 27.

“My goal is to come back 100 percent,” Ntilikina told The Post earlier this week. “I want that as soon as possible. I want to be helping the team. Of course, though, I have to be 100 percent.”

Ntilikina, who the Knicks selected with the eighth pick in the 2017 draft, also had an up-and-down rookie season. He’s been in and out of the rotation in 2018-19.

The Knicks have been one of the worst teams in the NBA this season and will enter their matchup against the Kings on Saturday with a 13-52 record.
