ALTHOUGH he needed two attempts, Shawn Porter made weight for his WBC welterweight world title defence against Yordenis Ugas in Carson on Saturday (March 9).
Porter at first came in 1.8 pounds over the limit, but he took the time he had and even had a haircut to make 146.8lbs, just under the limit.
His challenger Ugas scaled 146.5lbs.
On the undercard Nigeria heavyweight Efe Ajagba will be fighting Amir Mansour over eight rounds. Ajagba weighed 240lbs. Mansour was 225lbs.
