The Edmonton Oilers will be looking to win five games in a row for the first time since April 2017 when they host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday as +125 underdogs on the NHL betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.
Edmonton continued its hottest run of the season with a 3-2 victory over the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday and has now picked up at least a point in eight of nine contests going into Saturday night’s matchup at Rogers Place.
The Oilers have also tallied three straight wins on home ice, ending a 14-game run that featured just two wins. Edmonton surrendered just two goals per game during that three-game surge at home, which marks a dramatic improvement after allowing 4.43 goals per game during its 14-game slide.
The Maple Leafs close out a three-game swing through Western Canada on Saturday as strong -150 favourites at betting sites. However, Toronto has some work to do after suffering a 3-2 overtime loss in Vancouver as -200 chalk on Wednesday night.

That loss marked the first time this season that the Maple Leafs have failed to earn the win after entering the third period with a lead, and leaves the club trailing the red-hot Boston Bruins by four points in the battle for second place in the Atlantic Division standings.
However, a clash with Edmonton could prove to be a tonic for the Maple Leafs, who have topped the Oilers in 12 of 14 meetings since December 2010, according to the OddsShark NHL Database, including five straight wins, capped by a 6-2 victory in Toronto as -240 favourites on Feb. 27.
Elsewhere on the Saturday NHL odds, the Ottawa Senators face a daunting task as they visit the Bruins as massive +295 underdogs, while the Canucks take on the visiting Vegas Golden Knights as +135 underdogs.
The Senators’ struggles continued on Thursday with a 4-2 loss to the New York Islanders as +170 home underdogs, dumping them to 2-10-1 over their past 13 contests and deeper into the NHL basement, four points back of the Los Angeles Kings.
Ottawa has also been dominated during a seven-game losing streak against the Bruins, who enter Saturday’s clash as -375 chalk. Boston extended the longest point streak of the season in spectacular fashion on Thursday, potting two goals in the final minute of regulation to tally a 4-3 win over Florida and improve to 14-0-4 in its past 18 contests.
The Canucks have lost seven of nine, but have regularly rewarded bettors taking the under on the totals, which has gone 8-1 over their past nine outings.
