Swansea 4 – West Ham 1
It was a massive Saturday for Swansea.
Had West Ham won at the Liberty Stadium, the Hammers could have moved six points clear of the Swans in the relegation dogfight.
But the Hammers didn’t win – they got stuffed 4-1 – and West Ham are in serious relegation danger.
Ki Sung-Yueng fired Swansea ahead after just eight minutes, while slack defending allowed Mike van der Hoorn to head in a second in the 32nd minutes.
Andy King’s first Swansea goal killed off West Ham at the start of the second half. Jordan Ayew scored a fourth from the spot.
Michail Antonio scored a consolation for the Irons.
David Gold confronts angry West Ham fans
After the match in Wales, a video surfaced on social media of West Ham co-owner David Gold confronting angry West Ham fans.
Gold stopped his car to speak to the supporters.
The Hammers co-owner asked the furious supporters to calm down: “I’m 82-years-old”.
He said “You don’t understand. I’m hurting as much as you.”
Angry West Ham fans hurled cuss words back at Gold, while also shouting at him to “leave the club”.

West Ham protest vs Burnley is called off
It’s been an open secret at the London Stadium this season that there’s a huge breakdown between West Ham’s owners and fans.
Hammers fans feel they’ve been duped by the club’s owners in recent times, as a long list of promises have been broken.
That lead to arrangements for a protest on March 10, prior to the home match against Burnley.
The protest was to be aimed at owners David Gold, David Sullivan and vice-chairman Karren Brady.
However, late on Thursday night, it was announced that the protest is now off.
