Golfers shouldn’t have a short bucket list when it comes to must-play courses.
And whether traveling for business or determined to find the best greens available, there’s a way to uncover golf’s most spectacular destinations — with the help of experts who’ve been there, of course.
The best golf courses around the nation have been evaluated by Golfweek‘s expert ratings panel, with members rating each course in 2017 based on certain criteria and also providing an overall rating based on a 1-10 scale.
Those overall ratings on each course are averaged to produce a final rating. Then each course is ranked against other courses in its state, or nationally, to produce the final rankings.
So take a look at the challenging variety that awaits, grab your clubs and go:
