Golf Play Day set for Saturday in Earlville

The Earlville Lions Club will have its 62nd Annual Golf Play Day on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Earlville Country Club.

Profits from this event will be used for Earlville High School scholarships. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. and will continue all day.

The prices are golf, lunch, and steak dinner for $50. Price include pop and beer. For those who want the steak dinner only it will be $15. Golf and lunch are $35. Special prices for Earlville Country Club members are golf, lunch and steak dinner, $35; golf and lunch, $20; and for steak dinner only, $15.

Prizes will be awarded for men’s and women’s longest drive, closest to the pin and longest putt. There will be a $500 cash prize for a hole in one on Hole 9.

There will be one prize per hole. Carts will be available to rent.

The event is open to anyone 21 years old and older. Organizers are encouraging more women to come since they will have separate prizes. Anyone with questions can call Larry Beland at 815-246-4210.
