It was all-for-one and one-for-all at Evergreen Golf Course in Elkhorn on Wednesday.
The format suited the Janesville Parker High girls golf team just fine.
Playing in the Elkhorn Scramble, the four Vikings golfers—Sophia Dooman, Ashlyn Burdick, Amelia Clarquist and Bria McDade—shot a 30-34—64 to take second place behind Waterford’s 31-31—62.
Parker coach Mary Ross said she was enthused on how all four of her golfers contributed to the team’s score. Dooman sank a 45-foot putt on a par-3, which was part of a string of six straight birdies to conclude the round. McDade contributed three birdie putts.
Janesville Craig also played well, finishing with a 34-33—67 that was good for fifth place.
Both Parker and Craig will participate today in the Milton Best Ball tournament at Oak Ridge.
