The Senegal international has been outstanding since he joined the Reds much to the delight of his boss
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has admitted that ‘Sadio Mane has constantly improved’ since he arrived at Anfield.
The 26-year-old joined the Reds in the summer of 2016 from Southampton for a fee of £35 million and has scored 40 goals in 91 appearances across all competitions.
Reflecting on the performance of the forward since he departed the St Mary’s Stadium outfit, the German tactician acknowledged that the winger has developed into a better player on Merseyside.
“It was more a fact than a compliment. He is playing his third season here, and has constantly improved,” Klopp said in a pre-match conference.
“We knew we would get a good player when we signed him from Southampton. Did we know exactly how good? I wouldn’t say so.

“You sign a player then hope he can take a few more steps and he did that. So far, so good. He is a very, very important player for us, and a very nice person.
“All the others get the benefits of the other good players around them. We can still improve, and so can Sadio. The performance level and consistency is quite impressive, that’s true.”
Mane who has scored three goals in two games this season will be looking to get on the scoresheet when Liverpool face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday.
