Yuli Gurriel’s catch got him stuck in the netting

It was the catch of the day — in more ways than one. When the Astros’ Yuli Gurriel raced down the line on Christian Vazquez‘s foul pop fly during Saturday’s game against the Red Sox, nothing was going to stop him. His momentum carried him over the railing and into the netting down the first-base line as he made a phenomenal grab.

But, as the first baseman tried to get back onto the field, it turns out that the net had also grabbed him like he was a fish ready for market.

Just when he thought he was out, he was pulled back in:

George Springer couldn’t stop laughing, either:

“He got a little stuck in the net and it was funny,” Springer said after the game. “His head got stuck in the net.”

Hey, what are friends for?
