Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey caused a stir among many NHL players when he said that he could make the NHL if he dedicated six months to train.
While some players welcomed the lighthearted jab, others were insulted. Still, in the days after the ESPN story, Ramsey hinted at an upcoming collaboration between him and the NHL.
And now, he’s looking for hockey gear. It’s all happening.
In a video from Uninterrupted, Ramsey could be seen calling a local sporting goods store to inquire about hockey gear so he can start training to become a hockey player.
Ramsey said:
“I just had a quick question for y’all. I wanted to come in and get some gear, so I can start training. Do y’all have hockey gear?”
The employee who took the call seemed surprised that someone asked about hockey gear in Jacksonville and had to put Ramsey on hold to check if they even had hockey gear.
Ramsey is sponsored by Jordan Brand, so hockey gear isn’t exactly in the company’s wheelhouse. But hey, this designer made a concept of the Jordan 1 as hockey skates – maybe Ramsey can learn to skate with them.
