Tiger Woods is 23 for 23 winning PGA Tour events with a lead of three shots or more after 54 holes. Entering Sunday’s final round at the 2018 Tour Championship, Tiger Woods had a three-shot lead after 54 holes. That’s not to say Woods is guaranteed to win his 80th career PGA Tour event or pick up his first win since 2013, it’s simply to note that there is a lot at stake at East Lake Golf Club.
In another Sunday filled with NFL games, all eyes are on Woods as he strolls around Atlanta in a superstar pairing with Rory McIlroy. It has been Woods, though, who has begun pulling away in Round 4, opening a five-shot lead on the field after just a couple holes early in his day. Whether Tiger is tested atop the leaderboard over the remainder of Sunday’s action remains to be seen, but right now it is Woods looking to hold on in an effort to thwart an uber-talented group of contenders and bring home a huge chunk of change from both the Tour Championship and 2018 FedEx Cup.
