Medium-pacer Shardul Thakur, whose Test debut was hampered by injury, has been ruled out of the ODI series against West Indies and will be replaced by Umesh Yadav. Thakur suffered a right abductor tendon injury and had bowled only 10 deliveries against West Indies in the second Test in Hyderabad.
Thakur had been ruled out of the Asia Cup too, with right hip and groin soreness after playing only one match, against Hong Kong.
