Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson scores wonder goal for England

Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson netted a stunning free-kick as England Under-21s continued their fine run of form.

The young Three Lions completed their European Championship qualifying campaign unbeaten by defeating Scotland 2-0.

Meanwhile, Nelson has now scored two goals in two appearances for Under-21s having made his debut last Thursday.

Nelson’s magnificent free-kick

Making just his second appearance for the Under-21, Nelson stepped up to produce a magnificent moment from 30-yards.

The Hoffenheim loanee expertly struck his free-kick up and over the wall and into the top corner leaving Scotland’s Ross Doohan with no hope.

Despite having only arrived with the Under-21s, Nelson is already eyeing a step up to Gareth Southgate’s senior side.

Nelson said:

“Gareth has made it clear that the pathway is there so if you’re young and you’re good he’ll give you a chance.

“It’s good for me that I came through the ranks, I came from U16s all the way up to U21s.

“I’m trying to get in there and do my magic.

“A little bit showed today and I’m very happy to be there.”
