In utterly tragic news, the club released a statement saying Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha had lost his life.

The 61-year-old was known to football fans as the man who revitalised a club and took them to the top of English football.

To those outside football, the Thai business man was known for owning the King Power Duty Free stores.

Football is in mourning

In an age where so many club owners aren’t even liked by fans, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was beloved by Leicester City fans.

It’s not long since the club shocked the world and won the Premier League.

It was a story of dreams. This is quite simply a nightmare.

The game between Leicester and Southampton is now postponed.
