Xander Bogaerts handed out Red Sox World Series merch

Trick or treating usually consists of kids in costume knocking on doors and asking for candy. But on the day before Halloween, things got shaken up a little. That’s because World Series-winning Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts popped on his Red Sox jersey and wandered the Boston neighborhood of Brighton handing out World Series merch.

Naturally, when the kids saw him, they started chanting:

While Bogaerts may have been wearing his jersey so fans could recognize him, I like to think that he’s going to wear it all winter long to celebrate his second World Series title. After all, he did save his 2013 World Series T-shirt to wear under his uniform this year.
