BATON ROUGE—The LSU women’s tennis team concluded their fall season with the end of the competition at the Tiger Fall Classic at the LSU Tennis Complex Sunday.
“We had a ton of great match play,” co-head coach Julia Sell said. “We had a highly competitive group of teams this weekend. I don’t think we played the best, but we showed the we have high levels in us and it is being brought out consistently.”
LSU finished the competition in Baton Rouge with a singles flight.
The Lady Tigers compiled 7 singles wins and 5 doubles victories over the course of the tournament.
Sophomore Taylor Bridges defeated Southern Methodist’s Tiffany Hollebeck in straight sets, 6-0, 6-2.
Luba Vasilyuk battled hard against Natalia Serrano of Central Florida, sending it into three sets. The sophomore Tiger was unable to secure the match losing, 3-6, 7-6(4), 4-6.
The Tigers will be back in action in January to kick off their spring season against University of South Florida.
