Didier Drogba plans next move after hanging up boots

Coaching for Drogba

Former Chelsea player Didier Drogba is working out what to do next.

The Blues legend officially hung up his boots after much speculation.

Now, he’s admitted that a career in management appeals to him.

Speaking on Soccer AM, he said: “I’ve met enough managers to make it possible.”

Chelsea have a wealth of former legends who have retired of late. The likes of Frank Lampard, John Terry and Drogba would all be fan favourites to come back and manage the club one day.

A bad weekend for Chelsea

Drogba is still close to his former club, and comments on Chelsea results.

One thing he won’t be happy about is their loss to Spurs.

Drogba used to love scoring against the north London sides – something Alvaro Morata struggled to do on Saturday.

Now, Chelsea are looking at keeping themselves in the top four, and not the title race.

It seems as though Liverpool and Man City may be a cut above this season.

For Chelsea to get into the top four, it would be a big improvement on last time out.

However, that’s the least the club expect – and another season outside of the Champions League will not be good enough.
