The director general of sports noted that Sri Lanka cricket elections will be held on the 7th of February 2019.
The election which was scheduled for the 31st of May this year had been indefinitely postponed.
A court proceeding also took place in connection to the these elections.
According to the director general of sports, nominations for the election would be accepted between December 14th and 17th.
Objections which will be accepted until 31st of December are to be examined on the 1st and 2nd of January , by a three member committee appointed by the membership in accordance with cricket regulations.
the final list of candidates will be announced on the 14th of January.
As of June this year , Sri Lanka cricket has been overseen under the authority of an official appointed by the minister of sports.
