Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has this evening provided an update on the fitness of defender Trent Alexander-Arnold, ahead of his side’s clash with Wolves.

The Reds are set to travel to Molineux on Friday night, for the first of the weekend’s Premier League fixtures.
Jurgen Klopp’s men head into proceedings full of confidence, having first secured their passage to the Champions League’s Last-16 with a 1-0 win over Napoli last week, before maintaining their place atop the Premier League table courtesy of a 3-1 victory over Manchester United at the weekend.
Wolves, meanwhile, have embarked on an excellent run of form of their own over the last couple of weeks.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men have picked up 3 consecutive Premier League wins, over Chelsea, Newcastle and Bournemouth respectively.
‘Wolves will be a bit too early’
As such, an entertaining affair will no doubt be in store at Molineux on Friday night.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, spoke in a press conference this afternoon in anticipation of his side’s trip to the West Midlands, with the German having been questioned on the fitness of defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Full-back Alexander-Arnold picked up an injury during Liverpool’s victory over Napoli this day last week, and subsequently missed his side’s clash with Manchester United on Sunday evening.

And Klopp has since confirmed that Alexander-Arnold looks set to miss Liverpool’s trip to Molineux.
The Reds’ boss also added, though, that the English international’s recovery is progressing well:
‘It actually looks surprisingly good. I think Wolves will still be a bit too early but after that, they told me we can think about him.’
‘But for that, he needs to train. So far he didn’t train but the pain goes down second by the second, which is good. And then in the moment when he can deal with it, he is on the pitch, and in the moment he is on the pitch we’ll make a decision.’
‘But it looks good for Trent.’
