Silence is deafening in regards to Mourinho
Manchester United stars Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly have reacted to the sacking of Jose Mourinho on social media.
The news broke on Tuesday that the Portuguese boss would be leaving the club.
Following a poor season so far, resulting in a 19 point gap between them and league leaders Liverpool, he was sacked by the club.
His 3-1 loss to Jurgen Klopp’s side on Sunday looked to be the final nail in the coffin.
It was later announced on Wednesday that former star Ole Gunnar Solskjær will take over the club in the interim.
That will leave the club able to look for a long-term boss who will take over in the summer.
Though, some of the focus still remains on Jose Mourinho.
Problems with his players apparent?
That is because some players have been speaking about the former boss today.
Typically when a manager leaves or is sacked, there are some tributes from players.
However, it’s been pretty silent since Mourinho’s exit.
There are two players, however, who have voiced their opinion.
They come in the form of Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly.
Lingard was up first with a simple but effective post captioned ‘Thank you for the memories and wisdom” with a picture of him and the former Manchester United boss.
Bailly was next with a more interesting post.
His caption read: ‘Whatever they may say, I will always be thankful to the person who gave me the chance to make my debut at Old Trafford.
‘Thank you for what you have taught me. Good luck, coach.’
