Looking for reinforcements this January
Fulham have been linked with a move for one Everton midfielder in the January transfer window as they look to move off the foot of the table.
It’s certainly not been a great season for Fulham.
There was much expectation going into this season after the Cottagers spent an awful lot of money in the summer window.
However, many of their signings have not had the desired effect.
Andre Schurrle is probably their most impressive signing having scored five Premier League goals so far.
Even with several stars such as Jean Michaël Seri and André-Frank Anguissa, the club just can’t hit form.
They even attempted to change their manager, with Slaviša Jokanović leaving and Claudio Ranieri coming in.
Now, if they are to avoid the drop, they must strengthen in January.
With that in mind, Fulham have now been linked with an Everton midfielder.
Set for return then set for transfer
That player comes in the form of James McCarthy.
That will come as a pretty decent surprise considering he is yet to make his comeback from injury after 11 months out.
He broke his leg in the game with West Brom last season and could even be in line to make his return for Everton against Tottenham this weekend.
Though, that could even be his last game for the club with suggestions today that Fulham are in contact to see what his situation is.
That is according to Dean Jones of Bleacher Report.

It is yet to be seen whether they will make a move for the player but they will likely see how he reacts upon his return to action with Everton.
Should he impress, they could well make a move and hope he is one of the players who could keep them up.
