CARL FRAMPTON and Josh Warrington made weight for their IBF featherweight title fight at a fiery weigh-in in Manchester Friday.

Frampton, in the unaccustomed position of challenger, scaled 8st 13lbs 14oz. Warrington, a shade taller and in magnificent shape was 8st 13lbs 9oz.

“I do give him credit, that was a good win against Lee Selby [to win the title]. This is a different fight and I’m a different fighter to anything he’s faced before,” Frampton warned Warrington. “I’m enjoying boxing more than I’ve ever enjoyed it.

“The support I have is amazing. I’m the best supported fighter on the planet.

“Expect anything but the thing to expect the most is for me to win.”

Warrington shook hands with Frampton after they went nose to nose and has a healthy respect for the man from Belfast.

“I’ve trained hard for 12 weeks, I know Carl’s ready for 12 hard rounds as well. Give the fans what they want,” Warrington said. “We’ve got 12 rounds to sort it out with each other. All the talking’s done. We go to war tomorrow.”

“After Saturday, once I beat Lee Selby and Carl Frampton people will start to recognise what I’m really about,” he continued. “It’s going to be exciting.

“Those supporting Carl, enjoy it while it lasts.”
