MLB trade rumors: Dodgers interested in dealing for Tigers outfielder Nicholas Castellanos | MLB

The Dodgers are looking to add an impact bat.

Los Angeles is interested in dealing for Tigers slugger Nicholas Castellanos, according to a report from MLB Network, which cites an unidentified league source. Detroit’s asking price for the 26-year-old outfielder is “high,” the report says.

Castellanos slashed .298/.354/.500 in 157 games last season. He also belted 23 home runs and tallied 89 RBIs.

Castellanos has spent all six of his MLB seasons in Detroit. He hit .272 with 26 home runs and 101 RBIs in 2017.

Los Angeles officially sent Matt Kemp, Alex Wood, Kyle Farmer and Yasiel Puig to the Reds on Friday in exchange for pitcher Homer Bailey as well as prospects Josiah Gray and Jeter Downs.

The Dodgers finished last season with a 92-71 record and reached their second straight World Series, where they fell to the Red Sox in five games.
