The ECB have announced a raft of new appointments to their executive team.
Perhaps most notable is the addition of Tony Singh, who is currently Content and Business Development Director at BT, as their new Chief Commercial Officer in place of Sanjay Patel. He will oversee all revenue generation and key commercial relationships.
Patel will now focus solely on his role as Managing Director of The ECB’s new competition, which is expected to be known as “The Hundred” when it receives final sign-off from the 18 first-class counties later this month.
The ECB have also announced that Gordon Hollins has been appointed into what they describe as a “newly created role of Managing Director, County Cricket.”
Hollins was previously the ECB’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for drafting the new County Partnership agreements, and before that as MD of County Business. As such, he has strong knowledge of the county game and good relationships within it. He is seen by many as a strong advocate for it.
The ECB are also looking for a new communications director to replace Chris Haynes, who leaves the organisation in June.
