Drake has become somewhat infamous in the sports world for “cursing” teams.
The latest example of a team he supports publicly falling came just a few weeks ago, as Alabama got rolled in the national championship game shortly after the superstar recording artist posted footage of himself in a Crimson Tide sweatshirt.
While the idea of Drake placing an actual curse on teams merely by associating with them is far-fetched — teams simply can’t win everything all the time — the mounting coincidences have converted plenty to believe in the “Drake Curse.”
The prevalence of discussion about it has reached the point where Drake jokingly felt he could take no more chances in supporting just one team. On his Instagram Story on Saturday night, he posted a photo of himself wearing a sweatshirt that included the logos of the four teams that will be playing in the NFL’s conference championship games on Sunday — the Saints, Rams, Chiefs and Patriots.
“For everyone who believes in the Drake curse good luck tomorrow,” Drake wrote.
By poking fun at the whole thing and “cursing” everyone, it appears Drake is actually cursing no one. Here’s hoping the move leads to some classic games on Sunday.
