Eden Hazard considers impact of Zinedine Zidane joining Man United

Eden Hazard & Chelsea

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has sat down for a fresh interview with France Football magazine.

Hazard is going through a tough spell at Stamford Bridge right now.

The Belgian has failed to score in his last eight matches for the Blues, even though Maurizio Sarri has often deployed Hazard in a false nine role.

During his interview with France Football (as translated in Marca), Hazard was once again pushed to discussing his next career move.

Now 28, Hazard is under contract with Chelsea until 2020.

Will he agree a new deal with the Blues? Hazard kept that door ajar saying:

I have won everything in England, apart from the Community Shield, but that doesn’t mean that I’m leaving.

I have always said that I wanted to explore something different after England. But there are also things that might make me stay.

Zinedine Zidane & Man United

Who will be the next Manchester United manager?

One of the names in the frame for the Old Trafford position is Zinedine Zidane.

Leaving aside the probability of Zidane’s Man United appointment, would Hazard be keen on switching to the Red Devils if Zidane did get the job?

While Hazard is a known admirer of Zidane, the Belgian has categorically ruled out any possible move to Manchester United:

I have never heard from (Zinedine) Zidane and if he goes to Manchester United tomorrow, for example, I would not be there.

What about joining Real Madrid?

When it comes to Hazard’s next step, the Belgian has long been tipped to join Real Madrid.

France Football pushed Hazard to discuss his interest in joining Los Blancos:

Would I like to sign for Real Madrid? Why not?

Real Madrid without Zidane is different, but it is still Real Madrid.
